I’ve had the privilege of working with Mari and her team on an extremely high end waterfront estate which was a multi year build. Mari is an absolute pleasure to work with! Professional, organized, a team player without ego. Her aesthetic approach is timeless, warm yet modern with the perfect balance of form and function. Mari curated several bespoke furniture pieces for this project working with our millworkers and fabric providers. This breathtaking project is one of the nicest homes on Vancouver Island thanks to Mari‘s vision and attention to detail.

This is the second time I've worked with Mari Kushino on a whole house design project, and I was incredibly impressed she outdid herself the second time. She took the project on short notice and was able to generate such a lovely design quickly, which allowed the project to fit within the contractor's schedule. I have repeatedly told Mari to charge more for her work as the value she brings to a project far exceeds what she charges. The design decisions have impressed everyone who has visited since completion. The furniture selections completely match the overall look, and the staging she did made the house feel like home the minute my girls and I moved in. She is easy to work with, has excellent taste, puts in a major effort and has assembled a great team around her. There might be other good designers out there but I will never know as I would always return to Mari. Thank you, Mari!
